Google API Data-Use Disclosure

1. Introduction

This Google API Data-Use Disclosure explains how GrowthMate accesses, collects, uses, processes, stores, shares, retains, and deletes information obtained through Google APIs.

GrowthMate is a SaaS-based marketing analytics, reporting, insights, and business-growth platform operated by QOPTERVZN INFOCOM PRIVATE LIMITED, a company incorporated in India, with its principal place of business in Bhandara, Maharashtra, India.

This Disclosure applies to GrowthMate services available through:

  • growthmate.net;
  • app.growthmate.net; and
  • related GrowthMate applications, dashboards, integrations, reports, and services.

This Disclosure supplements GrowthMate’s Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Cookie Policy, Data Deletion Instructions, and other applicable policies. Where this Disclosure provides more specific terms concerning Google user data, this Disclosure will apply to GrowthMate’s use of that Google user data.

2. Plain-Language Summary

When you connect a Google account or Google service to GrowthMate:

  • GrowthMate requests only the permissions reasonably necessary to provide the features you select.
  • Google shows you the requested permissions before you approve access.
  • GrowthMate uses the authorised data to provide dashboards, analytics, reports, alerts, recommendations, AI-generated insights, and other user-facing GrowthMate features.
  • GrowthMate does not obtain or store your Google account password.
  • GrowthMate does not sell Google user data.
  • GrowthMate does not use Google user data for unrelated advertising.
  • GrowthMate does not use Google user data to train general-purpose artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
  • You can revoke GrowthMate’s access through your Google Account or disconnect the relevant integration from GrowthMate.
  • You can request deletion of Google user data stored by GrowthMate by contacting [email protected].

3. Compliance With Google API Policies

GrowthMate’s use and transfer to any other application of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

GrowthMate also complies with applicable Google OAuth policies, Google API terms, product-specific Google API requirements, and applicable privacy and data-protection laws.

GrowthMate limits its access, use, processing, and disclosure of Google user data to providing or improving user-facing features that are prominent and clearly described within GrowthMate.

4. Google Services That GrowthMate May Connect To

Depending on the integrations and features selected by the user, GrowthMate may connect to the following Google services:

4.1 Google Account and Google Sign-In

GrowthMate may use Google OAuth or Google Sign-In to authenticate users, connect Google services, identify the authorised account, and maintain the authorised integration.

4.2 Google Analytics

GrowthMate may connect to Google Analytics, including Google Analytics 4, to retrieve analytics properties, reporting dimensions, reporting metrics, events, conversions, acquisition information, engagement information, traffic information, e-commerce information, and other authorised analytics data.

4.3 Google Search Console

GrowthMate may connect to Google Search Console to retrieve authorised website-property information, search-performance information, search queries, pages, countries, devices, dates, clicks, impressions, click-through rates, average positions, indexing-related information, and other Search Console information made available through the authorised API permissions.

4.4 Google Ads

GrowthMate may connect to Google Ads to retrieve authorised advertising-account information, campaign information, ad-group information, advertisement information, keyword information, budget information, bidding information, audience-related information, conversion information, and advertising-performance metrics.

GrowthMate primarily uses Google Ads data for reporting, analysis, attribution, monitoring, optimisation insights, and recommendations.

GrowthMate will not create or modify campaigns, advertisements, budgets, bids, audiences, conversion actions, or other Google Ads resources unless:

1. the relevant GrowthMate feature clearly supports that action; 2. the user explicitly initiates or authorises the action; 3. the required Google permission is separately disclosed; and 4. the action complies with applicable Google Ads policies.

4.5 Additional Google Services

GrowthMate may introduce integrations with additional Google products in the future.

Before requesting additional permissions, GrowthMate will provide a clear explanation of:

  • the Google service being connected;
  • the data that will be accessed;
  • the permission or scope being requested;
  • the purpose of the access; and
  • the GrowthMate feature that requires the access.

GrowthMate will update this Disclosure where a new integration materially changes how Google user data is handled.

5. Categories of Google User Data Accessed

The exact data accessed depends on the services you connect, the permissions you approve, your Google account configuration, and the GrowthMate features you use.

GrowthMate may access the following categories of Google user data.

5.1 Basic Google Account Information

This may include:

  • Google account identifier;
  • name;
  • email address;
  • profile image;
  • account-selection information;
  • authentication information; and
  • consent and connection status.

GrowthMate does not receive your Google account password.

5.2 Google Account and Resource Metadata

This may include:

  • authorised Google account identifiers;
  • account names;
  • Google Analytics account and property identifiers;
  • Search Console property identifiers;
  • Google Ads customer and manager-account identifiers;
  • resource names;
  • time zones;
  • currency settings;
  • access status;
  • user roles or permission levels; and
  • integration configuration information.

5.3 Google Analytics Data

Depending on the authorised permissions, GrowthMate may access:

  • website and application traffic;
  • users and active users;
  • sessions;
  • page views and screen views;
  • events;
  • conversions and key events;
  • acquisition channels;
  • traffic sources;
  • campaign information;
  • engagement metrics;
  • landing-page performance;
  • geographic and device-level reporting;
  • e-commerce activity;
  • revenue metrics;
  • audience and demographic reporting made available by Google;
  • custom dimensions and metrics;
  • attribution information;
  • reporting dates and comparison periods; and
  • account, property, and data-stream metadata.

5.4 Google Search Console Data

Depending on the authorised permissions, GrowthMate may access:

  • verified website properties;
  • search queries;
  • landing pages;
  • clicks;
  • impressions;
  • click-through rates;
  • average search positions;
  • countries;
  • devices;
  • search appearance;
  • dates and reporting periods;
  • indexing status information;
  • sitemap information;
  • URL inspection information; and
  • other website-performance information available through authorised Search Console APIs.

5.5 Google Ads Data

Depending on the authorised permissions, GrowthMate may access:

  • Google Ads customer and manager-account information;
  • campaign, ad-group, advertisement, asset, and keyword information;
  • campaign status and configuration;
  • budgets;
  • bidding strategies;
  • targeting settings;
  • audience-related configurations;
  • impressions;
  • clicks;
  • cost;
  • conversions;
  • conversion value;
  • revenue and return-on-ad-spend information;
  • click-through rates;
  • cost-per-click;
  • cost-per-conversion;
  • quality and optimisation-related metrics;
  • geographic, device, network, and time-based performance;
  • search-term or query-performance data where permitted;
  • attribution and conversion-action information; and
  • other reporting data available through the authorised Google Ads API permissions.

5.6 OAuth Credentials and Connection Data

GrowthMate may securely process and store:

  • OAuth access tokens;
  • OAuth refresh tokens;
  • granted permission scopes;
  • token-expiration information;
  • authorisation timestamps;
  • revocation status;
  • connection status; and
  • technical identifiers required to maintain the integration.

OAuth tokens allow GrowthMate to access only the data and functionality covered by the permissions approved by the user.

6. Data GrowthMate Does Not Request by Default

GrowthMate does not request access to unrelated Google services merely because you connect a Google account.

Unless GrowthMate introduces a separate feature that clearly requires such access and obtains separate authorisation, GrowthMate does not request access to the contents of:

  • Gmail;
  • Google Drive;
  • Google Calendar;
  • Google Contacts;
  • Google Photos;
  • Google Chat;
  • Google Meet recordings;
  • personal Google documents; or
  • other unrelated private Google services.

GrowthMate follows the principle of minimum necessary access and seeks to use the narrowest OAuth permissions reasonably available for each feature.

7. How GrowthMate Uses Google User Data

GrowthMate may use authorised Google user data for the following purposes.

7.1 Connecting Google Services

GrowthMate uses account identifiers, OAuth tokens, scopes, and integration settings to establish and maintain the Google service connections selected by the user.

7.2 Providing Analytics Dashboards

GrowthMate uses Google data to create dashboards, charts, tables, summaries, comparisons, trends, and other visual reports requested by the user.

7.3 Generating Marketing and Business Insights

GrowthMate may analyse connected data to identify:

  • traffic and acquisition trends;
  • search-performance opportunities;
  • advertising-performance trends;
  • conversion trends;
  • campaign inefficiencies;
  • unusual changes or anomalies;
  • potential optimisation opportunities;
  • performance improvements or declines;
  • relationships between marketing channels; and
  • other insights relevant to the user’s connected websites, applications, advertising accounts, or business.

7.4 Producing Reports

GrowthMate may use Google data to generate scheduled or on-demand reports, summaries, scorecards, performance reviews, comparisons, and downloadable reports for authorised users.

7.5 Providing Alerts and Monitoring

GrowthMate may process Google data to notify users about significant performance changes, integration failures, reporting anomalies, campaign developments, traffic changes, conversion changes, or other events selected by the user.

7.6 Providing AI-Assisted Features

GrowthMate may use authorised Google data to generate user-facing AI-assisted:

  • explanations;
  • summaries;
  • recommendations;
  • forecasts;
  • prioritised action items;
  • marketing insights;
  • diagnostic observations;
  • report narratives; and
  • responses to user questions about their connected data.

Google user data is used in AI-assisted features only to provide or improve the GrowthMate features requested by the user.

GrowthMate does not use Google user data to train or improve general-purpose artificial-intelligence models that are made available to unrelated customers or third parties.

7.7 Maintaining and Improving User-Facing Features

GrowthMate may use Google user data to maintain and improve the reliability, accuracy, security, relevance, and usability of the specific GrowthMate features through which that data is presented or processed.

This may include troubleshooting integrations, validating calculations, correcting reporting errors, preventing duplicate data, improving report accuracy, and resolving technical issues.

7.8 Security and Abuse Prevention

GrowthMate may process limited Google user data where necessary to:

  • secure connected accounts;
  • prevent unauthorised access;
  • investigate suspected fraud or abuse;
  • identify malicious activity;
  • maintain audit records;
  • enforce access controls;
  • comply with security obligations; or
  • protect users, GrowthMate, Google, or the public.

8. Prohibited Uses

GrowthMate does not use Google user data to:

  • sell data to third parties;
  • operate a data-broker service;
  • create unrelated advertising profiles;
  • advertise to users based on data imported from their connected Google accounts;
  • serve personalised advertisements unrelated to the authorised GrowthMate feature;
  • determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, education, or similar high-impact decisions;
  • conduct surveillance;
  • identify or track individuals for unrelated purposes;
  • train general-purpose AI or machine-learning models;
  • develop products unrelated to the user-facing GrowthMate services;
  • combine connected Google account data with unrelated third-party data for undisclosed purposes;
  • allow unauthorised employees or contractors to inspect user data; or
  • transfer Google user data in a manner prohibited by Google’s policies.

Connected Google Ads, Google Analytics, or Search Console data belonging to a GrowthMate customer will not be used to advertise GrowthMate to that customer or to advertise unrelated products or services.

9. Automated Processing and AI

GrowthMate may use automated systems, algorithms, statistical methods, and artificial-intelligence technologies to analyse connected Google data.

These systems may produce recommendations or interpretations that are incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular business situation. Users should independently review important advertising, financial, commercial, or strategic decisions before acting on GrowthMate recommendations.

Where an authorised AI-processing provider is used, GrowthMate limits the provider’s access to the information reasonably necessary to generate the requested user-facing result. Such providers are engaged as service providers and are not authorised to use the data for their own advertising, data brokerage, or general-purpose model training.

10. Human Access to Google User Data

GrowthMate personnel do not manually access Google user data except where such access is reasonably necessary and permitted, including:

  • when the user provides explicit consent for support or troubleshooting;
  • when access is necessary to investigate a security incident, fraud, abuse, or technical problem;
  • when required by applicable law or a valid legal process;
  • when necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of users, GrowthMate, Google, or the public; or
  • when data has been aggregated or de-identified and is used for permitted internal operations in accordance with Google’s policies.

Personnel and contractors permitted to access Google user data are subject to confidentiality obligations, access controls, and applicable security requirements.

11. Sharing and Transfer of Google User Data

GrowthMate does not sell Google user data.

GrowthMate may share or transfer limited Google user data only in the following circumstances.

11.1 Service Providers

GrowthMate may engage carefully selected service providers that assist with:

  • cloud hosting;
  • databases and data storage;
  • application infrastructure;
  • cybersecurity;
  • authentication;
  • error monitoring;
  • customer support;
  • reporting;
  • communications;
  • data processing; and
  • AI-assisted user-facing features.

Service providers may process Google user data only to perform services for GrowthMate, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and in accordance with applicable Google policies.

Service providers are not permitted to use Google user data for their own advertising, data brokerage, or unrelated purposes.

11.2 User-Directed Sharing

GrowthMate may share data when the user deliberately asks GrowthMate to export, download, send, display, or share a report or result with another person or service.

The user is responsible for ensuring that a recipient is authorised to receive the information.

11.3 Legal and Security Requirements

GrowthMate may disclose Google user data where it reasonably believes disclosure is required to:

  • comply with applicable law;
  • respond to a binding court order or lawful governmental request;
  • protect against fraud, abuse, or security threats;
  • enforce applicable agreements;
  • protect the rights, property, or safety of GrowthMate, its users, Google, or the public; or
  • investigate a violation of law or policy.

Where legally permitted, GrowthMate will seek to notify the affected user before making such a disclosure.

11.4 Corporate Transactions

If GrowthMate or its operating company is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, insolvency, or sale of assets, Google user data may be transferred only where permitted by applicable law and Google’s policies.

The receiving organisation must continue to honour applicable data-use restrictions. Where required, GrowthMate will obtain user consent before transferring Google user data.

12. Storage and Security

GrowthMate applies reasonable administrative, organisational, contractual, and technical safeguards designed to protect Google user data.

Safeguards may include:

  • encryption during transmission;
  • encryption or equivalent protection for sensitive stored information;
  • secure OAuth-token storage;
  • access controls based on job responsibilities;
  • authentication and authorisation controls;
  • logging and monitoring;
  • environment separation;
  • secure development practices;
  • vulnerability and dependency management;
  • backups and recovery procedures;
  • confidentiality obligations;
  • incident-response procedures; and
  • periodic review of access permissions.

No electronic system is completely secure. GrowthMate cannot guarantee absolute security, but it works to protect Google user data using safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and associated risks.

Users are responsible for protecting their GrowthMate login credentials, devices, and authorised-user access.

13. Data Location and International Processing

GrowthMate and its service providers may process or store information in India or other countries where authorised service providers operate.

Where information is transferred internationally, GrowthMate will take reasonable steps to ensure that the transfer is supported by appropriate legal, contractual, organisational, and security safeguards.

Google user data remains subject to the use restrictions described in this Disclosure regardless of where it is processed.

14. Data Retention

GrowthMate retains Google user data only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide the connected GrowthMate features;
  • maintain the authorised integration;
  • generate requested historical reports and comparisons;
  • fulfil the purposes disclosed to the user;
  • comply with applicable law;
  • resolve disputes;
  • enforce agreements;
  • prevent fraud or abuse; and
  • maintain security and audit records.

Retention periods may vary based on:

  • the type of Google data;
  • the connected service;
  • the GrowthMate subscription;
  • user-selected settings;
  • contractual requirements;
  • applicable Google policies;
  • legal obligations; and
  • whether the user has disconnected the integration or requested deletion.

GrowthMate periodically reviews stored data and deletes or de-identifies information that is no longer reasonably required.

OAuth tokens are retained only while needed to maintain an authorised Google connection or meet legitimate security and legal requirements.

15. Disconnecting a Google Account

Users may disconnect an integrated Google service through the available GrowthMate integration or account settings.

Users may also revoke GrowthMate’s access through the third-party access or connected-app settings in their Google Account.

Revoking access or disconnecting an integration:

  • prevents GrowthMate from making future API requests using the revoked authorisation;
  • may stop dashboards, reports, alerts, and recommendations that depend on the connection;
  • may require the user to reconnect and provide consent again to restore the feature; and
  • does not necessarily delete information already lawfully imported before revocation.

Users may separately request deletion of previously imported Google user data as described below.

16. Deleting Google User Data

Users may request deletion of Google user data stored by GrowthMate by:

  • using any available account-deletion or data-deletion control within GrowthMate;
  • disconnecting the relevant Google integration and requesting deletion; or
  • emailing [email protected].

The request should identify:

  • the GrowthMate account;
  • the connected Google account or property;
  • the Google integration involved; and
  • whether the user wants specific Google data or the entire GrowthMate account deleted.

GrowthMate may take reasonable steps to verify the requester’s identity and authority before deleting data.

Following a valid deletion request, GrowthMate will delete or irreversibly de-identify the relevant Google user data without undue delay, except where retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or compliance purposes.

Residual copies may temporarily remain in encrypted or access-restricted backups until overwritten or deleted through GrowthMate’s standard backup cycle. Such backup copies will not be restored for ordinary business use and will remain protected from further processing except where required for disaster recovery, security, or legal compliance.

17. Access, Correction, and Portability

Subject to applicable law and technical availability, users may request:

  • confirmation of whether GrowthMate processes their Google user data;
  • access to the relevant data;
  • correction of inaccurate account information;
  • deletion of stored data;
  • restriction of certain processing;
  • a portable copy of data; or
  • information about authorised integrations and permissions.

Requests may be submitted to [email protected].

Certain data shown in GrowthMate originates from Google. Where the original information is inaccurate, the user may need to correct it directly within the relevant Google service.

18. Organisational and Agency Accounts

A GrowthMate account may allow administrators, agencies, employees, contractors, or team members to access data belonging to an organisation or client.

The person connecting a Google service represents that they:

  • have authority to connect the relevant account or property;
  • have obtained any permissions required from the account owner;
  • will grant GrowthMate access only to data they are authorised to manage;
  • will configure appropriate access for team members; and
  • will comply with applicable privacy, confidentiality, employment, advertising, and data-protection requirements.

Organisation administrators may be able to manage integrations, invite or remove users, view connected data, and request deletion of organisation data.

19. Children’s Data

GrowthMate is intended for businesses, professionals, agencies, and other commercial users. It is not directed to children.

Users must not connect Google accounts or properties containing children’s personal information unless they have all required legal authority and the processing is permitted by applicable law and Google policies.

20. Changes to Google Permissions

GrowthMate may change the permissions it requests when features are introduced, modified, or discontinued.

GrowthMate will not materially expand access to Google user data without providing an appropriate explanation and obtaining additional Google authorisation where required.

Users should review the Google OAuth consent screen carefully before approving any new or changed permission.

21. Changes to This Disclosure

GrowthMate may update this Disclosure to reflect:

  • new or modified Google integrations;
  • changes to GrowthMate features;
  • changes to Google policies;
  • changes to legal requirements;
  • changes to service providers; or
  • improvements to GrowthMate’s privacy and security practices.

The updated Disclosure will be published with a revised “Last updated” date.

Where a change materially expands GrowthMate’s use or sharing of Google user data, GrowthMate will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
